This policy explains what data we collect through the Statutide website and how we handle it.
We collect as little personal data as possible. You can browse this website without creating an account. The only personal data we collect directly is what you choose to submit through the review form.
When you submit a review we collect:
Reviews are stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Neon, our database provider. Access is restricted to Statutide team members who moderate reviews. Database credentials are kept on our servers and are never exposed to your browser.
New reviews are stored as “not approved” and are not shown publicly until a team member reviews them. We may decline reviews that are off-topic, abusive, contain personal information, or appear to be spam.
When a review is submitted, our server sends an internal notification to team@statutide.com through our email provider’s SMTP service. The notification contains your name, email address, the product, rating, review text, and submission time, so our team can moderate the review and contact you about it if needed. Your email address is only used internally and is never shown publicly with your review.
We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. The website stores one small value in your own browser, which is never sent to us: your colour theme preference (light, dark, or system), in local storage.
Fonts are served from our own website, not loaded from third-party font services when you browse.
We keep reviews for as long as they are useful to show on the website or to improve our products, and we delete them on request. Rate-limiting hashes are only needed for a short period. We will set and publish specific retention periods as our moderation process matures.
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the review data we hold about you, or withdraw your consent to its display, by emailing team@statutide.com. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under local data-protection law (for example India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023). We will respond within a reasonable time.
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), server-side validation, and restricted access to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
